Day 1 ZAGREB – arrival
Arrival at Zagreb and pick-up the car from Zagreb airport. Overnight in Zagreb.
Day 2 ZAGREB
Zagreb is the capital city of the Republic of Croatia, an old Central European city with 900 years of documented history. Visit charming and picturesque Gornji Grad(Upper Town) and modern Donji Grad(Lower Town), enjoy the beautiful squares, parks and facades of this unique city. Overnight in Zagreb
Day 3 ZAGREB – LJUBLJANA
Drive to Ljubljana. Old baroque town in the middle of a river and a castle. By the cathedral of Saint Nicolas visit the picturesque market, 3 bridges over the Ljubljanica river and other monument designed by famous Slovenian architect Plečnik. Overnight in Ljubljana
DAY 4 LJUBLJANA – BLED
Departure towards Bled. Visit of Bled, the touristic place famous by the beautiful lake situated between Julian Alps. It is possible to visit the castle, which is topped over the lake that has a beautiful view on the island. Also we recommend you a ride to the island in the middle of the lake in the old traditional boats called “Pletna”. On the island, visit the church of „Lady of the Lake“, where according to tradition, you can ring the bell that brings luck in love. Overnight on Bled.
DAY 5 BLED – POSTOJNA – OPATIJA
Departure to Postojna. In this karstic area the most beautiful cave in Slovenia is situated. We recommend the tour through the cave in the electric train and by foot. Extension towards Croatian border. Overnight in Opatija.
DAY 6 OPATIJA – ISTRA – OPATIJA
Tour through Istria. We suggest you to make a visit of Croatian biggest peninsula that is also called Croatian Tuscany. Our suggestions: Poreč, Rovinj, Buzet, Grožnjan. Return to Opatija in the evening. Overnight in Opatija.
DAY 7 OPATIJA – ZADAR
Departure towards Zadar, the biggest town in Dalmatia, town that represents the treasury of archaeological values and monuments from the time of Ancient time, Middle ages and Renaissances. Overnight in Zadar.
DAY 8 ZADAR – ŠIBENIK – TROGIR – SPLIT
Departure towards Šibenik where is situated one of the most beautiful renaissance monuments in Croatia, the Saint Jacobs Cathedral. Extension to Trogir. Town Trogir, built on the island on the place of former Greek settlement, has many historical monuments that signifie it’s rich history. Overnight in Trogir / Split area
DAY 9 SPLIT – DUBROVNIK
Visit of Split, whose old town is placed in and outside from Diocletian palace (UNESCO), that dates from 4th century. In the afternoon, departure towards Dubrovnik, via Omis and Makarska. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 10 DUBROVNIK
Day in Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik is a breathtaking sight, entirely surrounded by massive gray walls of stone, interspersed with four gates, three forts, five bastions and 14 square towers. The “Pearl of the Adriatic” contains a treasure-trove of medieval art and architecture. Don’t miss a chance to take the walk at the top of the wall surrounding the city for beautiful panoramic views of this fascinating city on the Adriatic. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 11 DUBROVNIK – MOSTAR
Departure towards Mostar. Visit of old oriental town of Mostar, which dates from the 15th century and was built around the river Neretva. Old Town is situated around the famous old bridge. Overnight in Mostar.
DAY 12 MOSTAR – PLITVICE
Departure towards Plitvice trough Imotski, then by the highway to exit Gornja ploča and extension by old Lika road. Plitvice lakes are the most known national park in Croatia (UNESCO). It is fascinating area between the mountains and forests in the middle of which You can see 16 beautiful laces whose blue-green clear water owerflowe from one to another. The laces are filled from a few smaller rivers and streams and are connected by foaming cascade and waterfalls. Overnight in Plitvice area.
DAY 13 PLITVICE – ZAGREB
Return to Zagreb, via Slunj. Our suggestion is to make a small pause in the place called Rastoke with water-mills and cascades on the river Koran. Overnight in Zagreb
DAY 14 ZAGREB – Airport
Return of the car on the Airport of Zagreb and return home.
