Munich – Salzburg – Vienna – Budapest

Day 1 Munich
Arrival in Munich and transfer from the airport to hotel. Overnight in Munich.

Day 2 Munich
Today you will explore the city with a regular tour using the Hop on/Hop off tourist bus. You can disembark at any stop and take your time to get to know the city. Highlights include the Marienplatz square, the City Hall, the famous Church of our Lady and the Viktualienmarkt street market. Overnight in Munich.

Day 3 Munich
Day at leisure or take an optional ($) regular excursion to visit the fairy-tale castles “Neuschwanstein and Linderhof” (admission not included). Overnight in Munich.

Day 4 Munich – Salzburg
After breakfast, departure by train from Munich to the picturesque city of Salzburg, birthplace and city of Mozart, Austria’s most famous composer. Check-in at hotel and overnight in Salzburg.

Day 5 Salzburg

Breakfast. Enjoy a city tour taking you from Mirabell Palace – Landestheater into the heart of the old town with the Horse Pond, the Festival District, St. Peter Abbey and Salzburg Cathedral. On our journey back you will pass by Nonnberg Abbey and Mozart´s Residence. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Salzburg.

Day 6 Salzburg
Free day at leisure. We suggest taking the optional ($) tour “ The Original Sound of Music Tour” – On this tour see some of the locations of this popular film in both the historical city and surrounding lake district, as well as find out more about the background to the film. Overnight in Salzburg.

Day 7 Salzburg – Vienna

Breakfast at hotel. Departure by train from Salzburg to Vienna. Check-in at the hotel and overnight in Vienna

Day 8 Vienna

After breakfast, enjoy a morning Historical city tour of Vienna – Includes the most significant sights of the city and the impressive Ringstrasse. The highlight is a guided tour through the magnificent showrooms in Schonbrunn Palace. Afternoon at leisure—we suggest taking a break at the Hotel Café Sacher and taste the most famous cake of Austria at his origin. Overnight in Vienna.

Day 9 Vienna

Breakfast at the hotel and the rest of the day at leisure to continue exploring the Austrian capital on your own. Optional ($) Viennese evening dinner in Grinzing. Overnight in Vienna.

Day 10 Vienna – Budapest

After breakfast, departure by train from Vienna to Budapest. Check-in at the hotel and overnight in Budapest.

Day 11 Budapest

Morning city tour: The Heroes Square, the State Opera House, the Hungarian Parliament, the Royal Palace and the Citadel (photo stop). During the Grand City Tour we will take you for a walk in the Castle District to enjoy its unique medieval atmosphere. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Budapest.

Day 12 Budapest

Breakfast at the hotel and the rest of the day at leisure or take an optional ($) half day tour to the picturesque Artists’ Village, called Szentendre. Wander around the baroque settlement, built on medieval ruins and walk along the narrow streets and don’t forget to try the Lángos (fried Hungarian flat bread). Overnight in Budapest

Day 13 Budapest

After breakfast, transfer to Budapest airport
