ITINERARY:

Day 1 Rome
Upon arrival at Rome airport you will be transferred to your hotel. After checking in you are free to relax or explore Rome on your own. (B)

Day 2 Rome
After breakfast, enjoy a half day walking tour of Rome. Travel into the beating heart of Rome and visit four of the most famous piazzas not just in the city but in the whole world. Explore and admire awe-inspiring St Peter’s Square, the atmospheric Piazza Navona, the elegant Piazza della Rotonda with the Pantheon and the spellbiding Piazza di Trevi, which is where the famous fountain is located. Throw a coin into the water and your wish of returning to Rome should come true!. In the afternoon, time at leisure. Overnight in Rome. (B)

Day 3 Rome – Naples – Pompeii – Sorrento.
Departure by coach heading south crossing the regions of Lazio and Campania. The first stop is Naples, one of the most enchanting cities in the Mediterranean famous worldwide for its rich istory, art, culture and gastronomy, where you will take a short panoramic tour to discover its beauty from the comfort of your coach climbing up the Vomero hill. The town overlooks the bay of Naples which extends from the Sorrento peninsula to volcanic area of Phlegrean fields, and the skyline is dominated by the majestic and still active volcano Vesuvius, offering an impressive sight perfect to take stunning pictures. Descending towards the port of Mergellina, you will leave the city and travel south towards Mount Vesuvius and, once you reach the town of Pompeii, you will have lunch with the real Neapolitan pizza! After lunch, you will enter into one of the most important archaeological sites in the world: a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the ruins of Pompeii,
with Skip the Line entrance and a guided tour. Through the remains and ruins of this ancient city you will learn how the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD destroyed the city, killing its inhabitants and burying it under tons of ash. The site was lost for about 1,500 years until its
initial rediscovery and the objects beneath the city have been well-preserved for centuries. So you can walk along the ancient streets for a glimpse into the lives of the Romans, discovering ancient houses, bakeries and shops and imagine the everyday life in the Roman times. Leaving Pompeii, you will drive along the Sorrentine Coast, arriving in Sorrento. Dinner and overnight. (B, L, D)

Day 4 Sorrento
Breakfast at hotel.
Spend a leisurely day exploring Sorrento, the jewel of the Sorrentine peninsula that is famous for the cultivation of oranges, lemon, and olive trees. Or you may want to hit the waters for a day excursion to the nearby island of Capri (not included). Return to your hotel in
Sorrento for dinner and an overnight stay. Dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 5 Sorrento – Amalfi
After breakfast in your hotel, at 11:00 am transfer to Amalfi. Check-in to your new hotel and free time at leisure.(B)

Day 6 Amalfi
Free time to discover the beauty of this wonderful coastal resort, or to explore the area. You can take a local bus and visit Positano or Ravello, or take time to relax and plunge into the water of the Mediterranean Sea. Overnight in Amalfi.(B)

Day 7 Amalfi – Rome
Breakfast at the hotel, morning at leisure to continue sightseeing in Amalfi. Then, around 3:00pm, depart for Pompeii and continue on to Rome, where the tour will come to an end. (Estimated arrival in Rome is 9:00 pm).
Overnight in Rome. (B)

Day 8 Rome / End of the services
After the breakfast, transfer from hotel to airport. End of services (B)
