Cappadocia & Istanbul

Day 1 Istanbul
Arrival in Istanbul and transfer to your hotel. Check-in at the hotel. The remainder of the day is free. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2 Istanbul

After breakfast, enjoy a half day tour of Istanbul – visit Topkapi Palace, residence of Ottoman sultans, the Hippodrome, site of chariot races, the Blue Mosque, famous for its colorful ceramics, and Saint Sophia, decorated with ancient frescoes. Enjoy the 3,000 shops in the Covered Bazaar. Overnight in Istanbul. (B)

Day 3 Istanbul
Free time to explore the city or enjoy an optional($) half-day cruise on the Bosphorus, depending on the weather conditions. Overnight in Istanbul (B)

Day 4 Istanbul – Kayseri – Cappadocia
Transfer from hotel to Istanbul airport for your flight to Kayseri. Arrive in Kayseri airport and transfer to your hotel in Cappadocia – the rest of day is free. Overnight in Cappadocia (B)

Day 5 Cappadocia
After breakfast, start our Cappadocia tour including Goreme Open Air Museum, Dervent Valley, and Pasabag Valley. After lunch, we will make a shopping tour in which you will be aware of the ancient arts of Turkey like carpet weaving, leather manufacturing and jewelry. Overnight in Cappadocia (B, L)

Day 6 Cappadocia
After breakfast we head to one of the most interesting sites of Cappadocia: Kaymaklı Underground City. The Christians hid from the armies of Rome and the raids of hostile tribes in these self-sufficient cities in which there were halls for stocks of crop, barns, rooms, kitchens & ventilation channels. The second part of our Cappadocia Tour will include Uchisar Castle, Avcılar, and Pidgeon Valley. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B, L)

Day 7 Cappadocia – departure
After breakfast, transfer to Kayseri airport. End of services. (B)
